Rhea Foraker Memorial Scholarship

Rhea Foraker Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Professor Rhea W. Foraker. Rhea served a number of years in the O.S.U. Cooperative Extension Service in the 1950’s and early 60’s. In 1962 he became a faculty member of the Agronomy Department and served in a campus-based position until 1964 when he assumed the assignment of Superintendent, Sandyland Research Station, Mangum. When Rhea died in 1986 he was serving as Superintendent, Southwestern Field Stations (Mangum, Altus, and Tipton) and also served as Area Agronomist.

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a full-time freshman student from Southwestern Oklahoma enrolled in plant and soil sciences.
