Hi Staten Memorial Scholarship

Hi Staten Memorial Scholarship was established in 1959 in memory of the late Hi W. Staten, Professor of Agronomy, for his outstanding contributions to Crop Improvement.  He was reared on a farm in Lincoln County and received his B. S. and M. S. degree at OSU.  He was selected as the Outstanding University student in 1924.  He was a state and nationally prominent agronomist, widely known researcher and teacher.  Numerous friends and family members have contributed to this scholarship over the years.

This $600 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding plant and soil sciences sophomore student in field crops.
